The 8 Days july to october Great Serengeti Migration Safari is the package designed to focus on the spectacular migration of wildebeest from the lake eyasi to Ngorongoro crater, it gives a visitor the chance to see the great Serengeti wildebeest migration with drive-in and fly-out safari in 2025. We have designed a detailed itinerary that shows the wild animals passing the Lobo area (north of the central Serengeti National Park) and Wagakuria area (remote northern Serengeti National Park) where the majority of the wildebeest migration is normally found in mid-July to October crossing to mara river from Serengeti to Masai mara. This park is considered as the scene of the annual wildebeest and zebra migration between the Kenya masai mara and Serengeti it carries a wide range of bird species like eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, pelicans, cranes, and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National Park is arguably the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. You'll also have the opportunity to spot the "Big 5" — Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard, and Buffalo — along with many other species such as giraffes, hippos, elands, impalas, baboons, monkeys, and a rich variety of over 500 bird species.

Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), where our team will greet you and assist you with your transfer to Arusha. After a short drive, check in to your lodge in Arusha, where you can unwind and rest from your journey. In the evening, enjoy a safari briefing about the upcoming adventure. Relax over dinner and get a good night's sleep, preparing for the journey ahead.

After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and head towards Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants. After a morning game drive in the park, continue towards Lake Manyara or Karatu, where you'll check into your lodge for an overnight stay. The surrounding landscape will offer a unique opportunity for an afternoon game drive or a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

Spend the entire day at Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and striking scenery. During your game drive, you’ll see large groups of flamingos, other waterfowl, and perhaps even the famous tree-climbing lions. The park also features a dense forest area and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a packed lunch or return to the lodge for a meal. Afterward, take an evening game drive to discover even more of the park’s unique ecosystems.

After breakfast, drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as "Africa's Garden of Eden." As you ascend the crater rim, enjoy breathtaking views of the caldera below. Check in at your lodge or camp perched on the crater’s rim. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoy a delicious dinner while taking in the stunning views of the crater.

In the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards. The crater is also home to flamingos and other bird species. Spend the day exploring the rich biodiversity of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the crater. Return to your lodge in the evening for a peaceful dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park. En route, stop at the famous Olduvai Gorge, known for its archaeological significance. Upon arrival in Serengeti, check into your lodge or camp in the central Seronera area. Afterward, head out for a thrilling afternoon game drive in the heart of the Serengeti, where you'll start to encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and rest.

Spend the entire day in the Serengeti, experiencing the world-famous Great Migration. Visit iconic locations like the Seronera River Valley and Moru Kopjes, where massive herds of wildebeest and zebras cross paths. You may even witness dramatic river crossings, where the animals face the perilous challenge of crocodile-filled waters. The day offers endless opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

On the final day, enjoy a morning game drive in the northern Serengeti, where you may witness the last stages of the migration. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will have some free time for shopping or relaxing. In the evening, be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your unforgettable 8-day Serengeti Migration Safari.
