Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your luxurious hotel in Moshi. Upon arrival, meet your expert mountain guides, who will brief you on the upcoming trek. This session includes gear checks, safety tips, and an overview of the Machame Route. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in your hotel and soaking in the scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Start your journey with a scenic drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (1,800m/5,905ft). After registration at the gate, begin trekking through a lush rainforest teeming with birds, monkeys, and unique flora. Reach Machame Camp (2,835m/9,301ft) by late afternoon, where your tents are set up for the night. Dinner is served as you relax under the stars. Trek duration: 5-7 hours.

Leave the rainforest behind as you ascend into the moorland zone. The path gradually opens up to breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau. You'll stop for lunch en route before arriving at Shira Camp (3,750m/12,303ft) by early evening. From here, you'll have a panoramic view of Mount Meru in the distance. Trek duration: 5-7 hours.

Today is an acclimatization day as you trek to the Lava Tower (4,630m/15,190ft). This challenging section prepares your body for higher altitudes. After lunch near the Lava Tower, descend to Barranco Camp (3,976m/13,044ft), passing through dramatic valleys and rocky landscapes. The views of the Western Breach and Barranco Wall are truly awe-inspiring. Trek duration: 7-8 hours.

Start your day by scaling the iconic Barranco Wall. Though steep, it is non-technical and highly rewarding. The trail winds through ridges and valleys before reaching Karanga Camp (4,035m/13,238ft) in the mid-afternoon. The shorter hike allows ample time for acclimatization and relaxation. Trek duration: 4-5 hours.

Trek from Karanga to Barafu Camp (4,640m/15,223ft), the final base camp before the summit. Arrive by early afternoon and spend the rest of the day hydrating, preparing your gear, and resting. As night falls, sleep early to prepare for the midnight summit push. Trek duration: 3-4 hours.

Begin your summit attempt around midnight. Trek through the dark, guided by headlamps, to Stella Point (5,756m/18,885ft). From here, a short but challenging hike takes you to Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft), the highest point in Africa. After capturing sunrise photos, descend to Mweka Camp (3,080m/10,105ft) for the night. Trek duration: 10-14 hours.

Conclude your adventure with a final trek through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m/5,381ft). Celebrate your achievement with a certificate ceremony before transferring back to Moshi. Trek duration: 3-4 hours.

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the unforgettable memories of conquering Mount Kilimanjaro.
